Late last week, Ali Razavi, aka MaxPowers, published a set of text messages from Claudia Ordaz’ telephone. Razavi received them pursuant to an open records request he filed with the city. The over 100 pages of text messages gives us an unprecedented look into who is managing Claudia Ordaz for their own political gain. Unfortunately, the problem is that the text messages lack context and are difficult to follow because of the lack of a timeline and corresponding events.
I have created a timeline of the messages and have added some context to them. Today, I am going to focus on the July 14, 2015 city council meeting because it involves the controversial MPO issue that Claudia Ordaz clearly put on the city’s agenda for political reasons, likely to help her boyfriend, Vince Perez. Tomorrow I will share the rest of the messages with you so that you can clearly see the connection between Claudia Ordaz, Vince Perez and Jaime Abeytia.
On July 14, 2015, the El Paso City Council discussed agenda item 22.1. The item was put on the agenda by Claudia Ordaz. The item looked into the city’s MPO submissions. During the almost 8 hour meeting, about half the meeting was spent discussing Ordaz’ item. During the almost 5 hours of discussion, Claudia Ordaz received over 100 text messages from Jose Landeros. They both exchanged about 156 text messages during the meeting. Jose Landeros is Vincent Perez’ Public Policy Advisor. Vince Perez is Claudia Ordaz’ boyfriend and was the chairman of the MPO at the time this meeting took place.
I have taken the over five hours of discussions and condensed them into an eight minute video of the meeting. I then superimposed selected text messages with the intent of letting you see them in the context under which they were sent.
Clearly you can see that the MPO issue was a political strategy designed to hurt Cortney Niland and Michiel Noe. Additionally, look closely at the video and in addition to the text messages you can see Jose Landeros and Jaime Abeytia trying to avoid being on camera.
There are many questions about these exchanges that Claudia Ordaz needs to answer. It is obvious that this was political ploy. It is also evidence that her actions on city council are being directed by others, for political purposes. You should also note that she is texting while on the city dais. The other question is whether Jose Landeros was being paid by the County to coach, via text, Claudia Ordaz. He is, after all, a County employee.
Tomorrow I’ll have more on the text messages.
For now, look at the video and see for yourself how Ordaz is attacking fellow city representatives for political reasons that are being determined by others.
I hope that this way of presenting the information to you has been helpful to you. Please let me know if I should present it to you differently in the future.
Thanks for making the video, puts it in better context. Strange nothing in the media and most blogs haven’t made comments.
So much for the talk of her being a political star. I can’t believe that we have a city council that sidesteps the city manager, can’t control the budget, receive special justice, enjoy free tickets to events, can’t develop sound policy even with the county directing the meetings.
The county is in worse shape and they’re trying to control the city council ? Makes me wonder if the release of information wasn’t timed to distract from the federal law offenses at the hospital.
More ORRs are necessary to root out the dirty politics, unethical conduct and corruption.
The voters and nonvoters won’t get it and elect the tainted officials. Ray Charles can see the situation better than El Paso citizens.
You’re welcome.
So is Max working for Cortney? One things for sure. El Paso politics are like a whorehouse.
I work for the same guy that Martin works for except I get paid twice as much. Oops! Did I say that out loud?!?! OH NOES!!!
Love,
Me
This is shameful, deceitful and dishonest. Council should be prohibited from using cell phones or any type device they can receive instructions, advice or comments during meetings. The County should also be approached regarding Landeros’ presence at the meeting and questions should be directed to Vince why he would allow, or perhaps instruct his employee to go coach his girlfriend at a very important city council meeting Claudia should answer who her coaches are for these meetings.
I agree
All I know is that no personal cell phones should be on the person of any elected representative during a formal City Council meeting. And, for that matter, I’m not sure that any of these people should have access to their laptops during that time, either. If they don’t care enough to be prepared, or are not able to prepare themselves beforehand, why did they run?

She’s cute. It seems that is all, too. Not much going on between her ears.
I hate to admit that I voted for this bimbo. Never again.
