There are some readers today believing that Donald Trump is delivering on his core promise to build a wall along the U.S.-México border. I can’t blame them because the Trump administration is keen on creating fake news. But the fact is that Donald Trump is not building his wall of hatred.

But, but, I thought that Donald Trump issued an Executive Order to steal money from the military to build the wall, is what some of you are thinking. Others are pointing to the press releases of new segments of the wall to argue I’m wrong. The nice shiny plaque on the wall adds to the lie.

However, last week the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Trump “was likely to lose his appeal” and thus the injunction barring Trump from using military dollars to build the wall remains.

That’s right, Donald Trump is barred from using military dollars to build The Wall.

Trump tried to steal $8.1 billion from the military to pay for his wall last February. He did this because Congress – even when it was controlled by the GOP – has refused to build his wall of hate.

So, although portions of the fence have been updated along the southern border; Donald Trump’s promised wall, even the severely downgraded fence masquerading as a wall isn’t happening now. You see the pesky fact is that although Trump has awarded $2.8 billion “wall money” almost all of it is for replacing existing barriers. Only 17 miles of that allocation can be considered a new barrier, which is nothing more than a fence masquerading as a wall in Trump parlance.

Trump is touting his wall progress on the campaign trail towards 2020. Many of his supporters believe him because, well, they believe in the Tooth Fairy. But there is no Trump wall and likely there never will be, much to the chagrin of some of you.

Congress and two courts have now told Donald Trump, no pinche wall.
