As you all likely know there exists a divisiveness in American politics that verges on anarchy in America today. This week, especially yesterday, there were bomb devices targeting individuals opposed to Donald Trump. This during an election cycle. The Republicans have been quick to demand civility from the Democrats. Yet, the underlining problem is ignored.

Donald Trump set the tone for today’s politics.

The Republicans that have been heckled in public places owe the heckling to one individual – Donald Trump.

Why?

It is simple, Donald Trump launched his presidential campaign by demonizing Mexicans, like me. He labeled us ‘rapists’ and ‘criminals.’

But it wasn’t just Mexicans that were targeted by Donald Trump.

Donald Trump targeted immigrants and Muslims by labeling them as dangerous to the country. Trump led chants of “lock her up” against his opponent Hillary Clinton.

Trump created the idea that Mexicans and México are dangerous by demanding that México “pay for the wall.” He argued the wall was needed to keep America safe. The “pay for the wall” rhetoric is symbol of them versus us and has nothing to do with keeping America safe.

To this day, Trump keeps up the rhetoric against Mexicans, immigrants and Muslims.

Chants of “the wall” are normal in Trump’s rhetoric about the state of the country. The immigrant caravan that remains thousands of miles away is dangerous to America because of people “from the Middle East,” according to Trump, are part of the caravan. Yet, there is no evidence of criminals nor Middle Eastern people within the caravan.

But people looking for work in America is not enough to scare Americans and thus Donald Trump uses fear to drive the politics of the nation.

Trump calls the news media, a staple of American politics, as the “enemy of the country.” Donald Trump has singled out CNN, which was also targeted by a pipe bomb yesterday.

Some readers will be attempted to argue that Donald Trump isn’t driving the hatred in today’s political rhetoric. But the arrest of Bruce Michael Alexander on Sunday proves that argument false.

Alexander told arresting officers that the “president of the United States says it’s OK to grab women by their private parts.” Alexander was arrested for “abusive sexual contact” for groping a woman on a Southwest flight.

And, the divisive tone from Trump continues.

In a recent Montana rally, Donald Trump stated that “any guy that can do a body slam – he’s my guy.”

In May 2017 Ben Jacobs, a reporter, was “body slammed” by Greg Gianforte. Gianforte plead guilty for assaulting the reporter. Gianforte is the “good guy” Trump was talking about.

Most people understand that leadership starts at the top. The tone of the nation is set by the nation’s leader.

Donald Trump has set a destructive tone for the country and you are now seeing the results today.

  1. Mexican news outlet El Universal reported Monday that local officials estimate that some 14,000 Hondurans have begun the trek north.

“The first group walked for 37 kilometers from Ciudad Hidalgo to Tapachula on Sunday afternoon and was comprised by 5,333 children, women and men,” El Universal reports, citing municipal authorities, the Mexican National Migration Institute, and Tapachula’s Catholic Diocese as its sources. Another 3,000 men, women and children soon added to that number. “Meanwhile, there are 3,000 children, women and men in the Ciudad Hidalgo International bridge, shared by Mexico and Guatemala, who are looking to enter Mexico with documents provided by the INM,”

A nation that doesn’t control its borders soon is not a nation anymore, but a dumping ground for the problems of its hemisphere, the destruction of its culture and laws, and the exploitation of its citizens who through no fault of their own are forced to shoulder the burden of their leaders’ PC insanity.

Build the wall, Mr. President. Use your constitutional executive power as Commander in Chief to defend the nation’s border.

  2. Damn right! He set the tone from early on in the campaign and reinforces it at his rallies. A real patriot and leader would work on uniting and not dividing the country.

Whether these bomb scares are trompas-inspired or not, he’s relishing the moment. MAGA one bomb at a time. The trompas terrorists are on the march.

Did we not see this before en los tiempos que rifava el Mussulini and that other fellow?
