Early voting is underway for the run-off election between Josh Acevedo and Verónica Carbajal for the City Council District 2 seat. Carbajal was followed by Josh Acevedo who received 775 votes. Judy Gutierrez, who received 528 votes and Ben Mendoza with 90 votes were eliminated.
As of yesterday, 495 voters have cast ballots during the early voting period.
El Paso News has created an exclusive early voting tracking App that shows who has voted. Our exclusive App lets viewers view who cast a ballot, when they cast it and whether the voter voted in December and/or in last year’s May election where Proposition K was on the ballot.
See who has voted by clicking here.
Our App is updated as soon as the El Paso County Elections Department releases its voter information.
Our data shows that only 69% of the voters who have voted as of yesterday during the early voting period also voted in the December election. This suggests that one of the campaigns is mobilizing voters that did not vote in December.
Our data also shows that 69% of the voters voting in this cycle cast a ballot in the election where Proposition K was featured.
Our App is updated daily during the week with the latest voter information. Use this link to see who has voted so far in almost real-time.
Early voting continues through Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Election Day is on January 20, 2024.
