We had planned to publish a report looking into the behind-the-scenes happenings in the Art Fierro versus Claudia Rodriguez race for the district 6 city council seat. However, the analysis requires that we provide context to the reader so that they have a better understanding of who the political players are, their actions and why the Fierro and Rodriguez campaigns implemented their strategies. In providing the necessary context we realized that the content may be disturbing to some readers and because it is so close to the holidays, we felt it was inappropriate to publish disturbing content going into the holiday season.

Look for a close look at the behind-the-scenes political strategies and players next week.

For now, we want to take this moment to thank you for all your support these past 20-years. Without readers like yourselves, we would not be going strong going into 2023. We appreciate all your comments, suggestions and criticisms that help make El Paso’s longest online running publication what it is today.

We have many new features planned for 2023, including new columnists that we will be soon announcing. We have new features like podcasts and regular newscasts planned for the coming year. More important, we are excited to go forward providing you the news and information no other publication in El Paso is willing to.

However, the most important thing the team at El Paso News wants to express is our heartfelt holiday seasons wishes for all of you.

The team at El Paso News wishes you and yours a wonderful Holiday Season!

The team at El Paso News wishes you, your family and your friends the very best this holiday season, may you and yours enjoy the coming festivities in good health, cheer and in the closeness of your family and friends.

Happy Holidays!
