If the debacle of Tuesday’s presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump isn’t enough to convince you that America is severely politically divided, then there is nothing that will get you to go vote. But if you are now convinced that you need to cast a vote on November 3, then next week has deadlines that are important to you, if you are not already registered to vote.

In many states, Monday is the last day to register to vote if you want to cast a vote for the next president on November 3. Some states allow individuals to register even on Election Day, but many require you to register 20 to 30 days before the election.

In Texas, the last day to register to vote is on Monday, October 5.

Voting is the only way to ensure your voice on the national agenda is heard. To vote, you must be registered to vote.

If you want to keep the incumbent in office or you want to replace him with a challenger, Monday is the last day to register to let your vote count.

Registering to vote is not the law, but it is your responsibility as a citizen.
