On Wednesday there were three things that proves that Donald Trump must be impeached. Three things that happened in one day clearly lays out the need to impeach Donald Trump. The Republicans aren’t about to start the process because they want to save their party. The Democrats are too busy playing party politics to do what is necessary. But the facts laid out in one day only leads to the impeachment of Donald Trump.

1. The USS John McCain

Donald Trump has denied that he knew that a tarp was placed over the USS John McCain’s name while Trump was in Japan. It is a fact that a tarp was used to cover the name John McCain on the warship. Although Trump denies knowing about it, the press reports and the fact that Trump has not denied it, suggests that the tarp was placed under the direction of the White House.

It was done so because of Donald Trump’s hatred of the late John McCain.

Not only was it petty, it dishonored one of America’s warships, not to mention the name of two American heroes that many Americans celebrate.

2. Man Sets Himself on Fire in Front of White House

On May 29, 2019, a man set himself on fire near the White House. According to Wikipedia’s “List of political self-immolations” there have been about 20 Americans who have set themselves on fire. Self-immolation is the act of killing oneself as a sacrifice. In the 1960’s there were nine Americans who killed themselves as a protest to the Vietnam War. There was another in protest against Vietnam in the 1970’s

There were none in the 1980’s. In the 1990’s two self-immolations by Americans were recorded. Gregory Levey was protesting the Gulf War and Kathy Change self-immolated to protest the lack of self-government. In 2006, Malachi Ritscher self-immolated in protest of the War in Iraq. In the 2010’s, there were seven Americans who self-immolated. The last one was on June 26, 2018 when John Watts protested corruption at the Department of Veteran Affairs.

At about 12:20, Arnav Gupta set himself on fire near the White House. Gupta is the second individual to set themselves on fire near the White House in the last few weeks. In April, another man set his jacket on fire near the White House. He survived his injuries.

There is no question that America is divided between Donald Trump supporters and those against him.

The two recent political self-immolations are indicators of the extreme political divide that is a direct result of Donald Trump. Instead of trying to bring the country together, Donald Trump continues to divide it.

3. Mueller Clearly Tells Congress They Must Impeach

Forget all the spin about whether Robert Mueller’s investigation found enough evidence to convict Donald Trump of any crimes, or whether Trump obstructed justice. Mueller told the nation unequivocally in his May 29 press conference that were it not for the Justice Department’s prohibition of indicting a sitting president for a crime, Donald Trump would have been arrested for several crimes.

As if that is not enough, the Russians helped elect Donald Trump. Whether Trump actively participated is immaterial because the person sitting today in the White House is there because the Russians wanted him there.

Trump was put in office by Russia.

These three things in one day clearly lay out the need to impeach Donald Trump starting today.
