Some of you reading this today know that a challenge coin is an American military tradition where a commemorative coin is exchanged between one soldier with another. It is used to build morale within the military. Generally, the coin is used to challenge others by producing the coin, and if the challenged person, or individuals, in the case of the coin dropped to the floor, must produce their own coin. Those that do not must buy the next round of drinks.
The White House Communication Agency also issues presidential challenge coins to commemorate foreign leader and military visits to the White House. The Trump White House caused some controversy recently for issuing a North Korean challenge/commemorative coin before the North Korea summit was cancelled the first time.
It was the North Korea challenge coin that got me thinking that what the informal Trump resistance caucus – of which I count myself as a member of – needs is a Trump challenge coin of its own. America is divided between Trump supporters and those of us that oppose his presidency. What the percentage of division is, is up for debate. The percentage of anti-Trumpsters ranges between 30% to 50% of the nation. However, it is significant enough that on any day, anyone is likely to run into someone that supports or opposes Donald Trump.
Thinking about this led me to ask, how are we to know where a stranger stands on Donald Trump, without outright asking?
Thinking about this and the North Korea controversial Trump coin it dawned on me, how cool would it be to just plop down a coin and see how many others respond to the challenge with their own coins.
The more I thought about this, the more I felt that a challenge coin showing opposition to Donald Trump was needed.
So, I designed one.
Now, I just need twenty-five individuals to commit to buying one coin and I’ll be all set to have the coin minted at a mint shop. I think I’ll be pricing them at $20 each.
I might even launch a Fund Me page.

I am anti-el trompas and I hope he is not re-elected but I do not agree with his impeachment. He was elected el presidente by the people (fair & square as far as that goes in our electoral system). Maybe we will be able to vote him out but as an Independent I doubt it. My candidate (whoever he’ll be) won’t stand a chance between R and D in this well-controlled system.
How about chopping of hands like “El Bronco” recommended. Ever heard of “sarcasm” Martin ? Move from your lush U.S. Florida home and go back to Mexico. Warn Lopez-Obrador that he may get shot just like Salinas had his brother do to Colossio.
