For all his bluster, and huffing and puffing, it looks like Donald Trump isn’t getting any money for his pinche wall. Yup, that’s right, even with a Republican controlled Congress, money for The Wall isn’t being allocated. Oh, and guess what? México isn’t paying for the pinche wall.
Yes, I know, Donald Trump tweeted that he is getting “$1.6 Billion to start Wall on Southern Border.” But like everything else with Donald Trump, it is all a lie, or as he likes to tweet, it’s Fake News. Here’s what the $1.3 trillion federal spending bill that has being attentively agreed by congressional leaders includes. The so-called omnibus bill funds the government through September 30, 2018.
The funding bill includes $1.6 billion for “barriers” along the U.S.-México border. Aha!, some of may be thinking, money for The Wall! Not so fast. The bill funds specific repairs to existing barriers, such as in San Diego and other locations. It includes funding for 47 miles of “fences” and 45 miles to repair existing fences. There is also money for surveillance, planning and technology for border security. However, none of the money can be used build new wall, or barriers.
Yup, that’s right, the money allocated in the funding bill specifically excludes all the prototypes that Trump ordered for his pinche wall.
You read that right, the prototypes that Donald Trump visited a few days ago are excluded from the funding bill.
