If you read my blog on a regular basis then you know that I have no respect for Donald Trump. When Trump first attacked Mexicans, like myself, I didn’t really think he was going to win the Republican nomination, much less the presidency. But I was soon disappointed with the voters that cast a vote for him. Even then, I thought, common decency would eventually prevail. It didn’t, much to my disappointment.
Last Wednesday I wrote about the Stormy debacle surrounding Trump and how a porn star suing the president of the United States dishonors the office and what it represents. Now, Donald Trump is suing Stormy for $20 million because Trump does not feel it is important, that you the voter, know what shenanigans he has been up to. Of course, there are the Donald Trump supporters who argued that other presidents have dishonored the office with their sexual shenanigans. Obviously, Bill Clinton comes to mind.
However, notwithstanding the slimy sexual perversions of the highest office of the United States, there remains many issues surrounding Donald Trump that should concern even his more diehard supporters. Yes, I realize that many diehard supporters would rather pretend to be oblivious to the issues by arguing “well, what about so and so.”
The problem with the White House today is that there is so much chaos that much of it is missed by casual political observers. Take for example, the Stormy debacle, while many are snickering about the sexual innuendo, there is another problem that most have missed. It goes to the core of Donald Trump’s integrity and further proves the danger he is to the country.
Behind the chaos of Stormy and the firing of Rex Tillerson, a close aide of Donald Trump was escorted out of the White House. John McEntee, who has been Trump’s personal aide for three years was taken out of the White House, under escort, without even the opportunity to grab his personal belongings. He was left out on the cold street without even his jacket.
Why was McEntree unceremoniously escorted out of the White House? The details are few so far, but it seems to involve “serious financial crimes.” Last Friday, it was reported that McEntree is gambling high dollars, making him susceptible to blackmail.
But, but nothing has been proven, it’s just more fake news is what some of you may be thinking. What you should focus on is that John McEntee was abruptly escorted out of the White House.
But, don’t worry about John McEntee, because although the DHS is criminally investigating him, he isn’t without a job, because he is now working for Trump’s 2020 campaign, as an adviser. Hence, the tie in to Trump’s integrity.
Let’s focus on the “escorted out of the White House” and that it involves “serious financial crimes” for a moment. Since when do mere allegations of impropriety necessitate the removal from the White House without so much as the opportunity to grab a coat?
It is not enough that there are questions about access to classified information at the White House, from Russians strolling through the building to aides unable to secure clearances from Trump’s own government. And now McEntee who has put himself, and the country, at peril to blackmail. Sure, some of you will hold on to the belief that is it is all “fake news” or that there is a “deep-state” conspiracy.
But, at what point, do you, Donald Trump diehard supporters take a moment to ask yourselves, is there a fire where smoke has been smoldering for over a year? At what point do you have a duty to your own country to ensure its welfare?
