As expected, the horde has begun to feel the sting of the “crazies”, not to mention the loss of their premier useful idiot Jaime Abeytia. Therefore they have conscripted a former blogger into their stable. On September 14, 2013, Jay Koester launched a new blog. You might remember how Jay Koester came to the online rescue of useful idiot Jaime Abeytia when Abeytia was arrested to face his most current pending charges. I wrote in “Jaime Abeytia: Useful Idiot Extraordinaire” how the horde first tries to keep a useful idiot in play through public image control and when that fails they put them out to pasture. Koester tried but failed to keep Abeytia in play and therefore a void needs to be filled for the upcoming elections.
Currently working at The NCO Journal, a monthly Fort Bliss magazine targeted at noncommissioned officers, Koester was previously the Assistant City Editor at the El Paso Times masquerading as a newspaper.
In 2006, Jay Koester became the local paper’s first online editor. As part of his job at the paper, Koester setup and managed the daily’s initial social media outlet. Koester did his best propaganda work through paper’s platform; “The Best of…” that is now defunct. While working at the local paper Jay Koester became renowned for his frequent attacks on those the paper perceived as challenging the status quo, now better known as the horde.
From the information I have on hand and from my recollections, Jay Koester started his blogging around 2008 and quietly exited the blogging scene around 2010. However, just as he got his start online through commenting on various online publications, Koester continued to hone his usefulness for the horde through online commenting.
In fact, Koester notoriously defended Jaime Abeytia when his arrest was publicized and actively supported the ballpark fiasco almost from the beginning.
Koester continued to work for the local publication, masquerading as a newspaper through 2011, when he then went to work for The NCO Journal. According to his online resume, Koester has been involved in the newspaper industry since he graduated in 1994.
However, and of possible interest to those of us that like to speculate about patterns, Jay Koester appears to have a gap in his professional career between March 2003 and August 2007. According to his LinkedIn profile, Koester worked in the newspaper industry from 1994 through March of 2003.
He does not list any further professional experience until August 2007, where he surfaced at the El Paso Times. Under his educational experience he lists his Bachelor of Science in Journalism at the University of Kansas from 1990 through 1994.
What he did during that four-year period is unknown at this time and I find it interesting that he doesn’t appear to be too forthcoming about that period in his life.
In 2009, David Karlsruher and Jay Koester teamed up to attack Theresa Caballero through their various online channels. He is the one that coined the phrase “crazy” for those that challenged the status-quo in the city.
And yesterday, October 1, 2013, Kay Koester made his formal debut as the next useful idiot by doing a write up for the other propagandist for the horde, David Karlsruher.
As I always write, connect-the-dots. On September 25, 2013, on my post “Coincidence, or Maybe Not: Follow up on Karlsruher” I hinted about another blogger entering the stable. I had been tracking Koester’s online activities and true to the modus operandi he launched a blog and started the process of reengaging the audiences through connecting up with David’s blog.
Along with Bob Moore’s and Darren Hunt’s continued distortion of the local political scene and David and Jay’s online message massaging it appears that those the horde dislikes politically will be skewered through the media and online. The gratuitous kiss-ass piece by Koester on Karlsruher is the signal to the rest of the useful idiots that the time has come to begin their attacks on those that dare oppose the horde.
The horde learned its lesson from Steve Ortega’s abrupt departure from their service and they are in the process of gearing up for the next election. It looks like the upcoming political scene will be brutal, if not outright bloody.

I suppose it wasn’t too difficult. I mean, how to explain suddenly showing up in August 2007 tan, muscular and speaking at least five languages? And then, out of nowhere, gaining a job at what is widely known as the best magazine in the Army? It’s too obvious. We’ve all seen “Zero Dark Thirty.”

I’ll connect the dots here. There is a guy in Florida…that isn’t in El Paso…that blogs about El Paso…his sources are local news websites…because, again, this guy doesn’t live in El Paso…he then criticizes those local news organizations he uses to gather his “news”…then “connects the dots” by making up the rest of the “news”…then calls it “El Paso news”…interesting. Not interesting as in interesting but interesting as in dumb.
