Yesterday was the first day of the Early Voting period for the March 5 Primary. There were 4,421 ballots cast. This includes mail-in ballots that were received by the Elections Department. Thirty-five of the voters who cast a ballot on the first day are voters who registered to vote within the last 30 days.

Our analysis of the early voters shows that 2,742 voters voted in the 2018 Primary. In the 2020 Primaries, 3,264, or 74% cast ballots. Of those who cast a ballot yesterday, almost 1,000, or 999 voters voted in the Republican Primary.
