I’ve unfortunately met my share of attorneys whose job it is to intimidate anyone that gets in the way of their masters. Some longtime readers may remember back in the day when Ike Monty’s attorney-brother attempted to silence me by filing a lawsuit against me. It was nothing more than an attempt to silence me. Fortunately for me, I had a great attorney that not only stopped the lawsuit before it got very far, but he also sent Ike Monty’s brother scurrying away with his tail tucked between his legs under the threat of sanctions. That is how I see long-time Donald Trump “fixer,” Michael Cohen, an unscrupulous attorney whose only job is to attempt to intimidate or bully those who oppose Trump’s wishes.

Unless you are completely oblivious to politics, then you likely know that Michael Cohen, Trump’s personal attorney, was raided by the FBI on Monday. Anyone into politics and legal issues is talking about the meaning of taking documents – many about Donald Trump – that are likely attorney communications. Many are stupefied about the apparent “piercing of the client-attorney privilege.” Trump has been on a tirade about how “unfair” the Special Counsel investigation is, not realizing the bureaucracy required for the FBI to get access to attorney records. Much of the bureaucracy that allowed the raid on Cohen’s records derives from appointees made by Donald Trump, or his surrogates.

The raid on Michael Cohen’s records is not good for Cohen, but it is worse for Donald Trump.

Trump has been notoriously secretive about his finances and his business activities preferring to showcase his obnoxious Trump buildings while silencing those he takes advantage of via Cohen’s bullying tactics. As Trump’s long-time attorney, there are many Donald Trump records that would prove embarrassing and even make Trump criminally liable. It is only a matter of time before those records leak out. Remember how Trump refuses to release his tax records? Those may come to light soon, as well.

All that will take time. However, the idea that prosecutors can’t or won’t go for attorney records is one of those things that are based on faulty narratives from too much television “Law and Order” shows and a news media that doesn’t really understand the legalese.

Those of you that remember the 2007 public corruption trials in El Paso might remember that of the about 40 individuals that were convicted or pleaded guilty to public corruption crimes, about five were lawyers. Their records were seized by the FBI and used against them.

Public corruption cases normally involve the attorneys that facilitate the crimes. And, thus Michael Cohen was targeted, and his records seized.

The funny thing is that Michael Cohen has been grandstanding about how Stormy Williams will owe “millions” to him because she dared to expose Donald Trump’s sexual perversions. Cohen is now the one facing not only financial ruin, but also possibly time in jail.

As for Donald Trump, his secrets are about to be exposed to us. Whether it causes him the presidency is irrelevant because no matter what Donald Trump does, or does not do from this point on, his presidency is now irrevocably mired in stench of corruption.

As for Michael Cohen, what goes around, comes around seem very appropriate today.

  1. Imagine what is in Hillary’s files. As for Stormy, well at least he’s hetero and has better taste in women than Bill.
