After the first Trump executive order was suspended, the Trump administration created a second travel ban, commonly referred to as Muslim ban V2. Donald Trump denies that his executive order is a travel ban against people from Muslim countries. Trump has denied that he targeted Muslims in his travel ban. However, both courts have pointed to Donald Trump’s extensive rhetoric promising to implement a Muslim travel ban during the election as proof of Trump’s intent with his executive orders.
Both sides are arguing whether the courts have a right to intervene on an issue that is generally accepted as the domain of the executive branch. Others are arguing that Trump is targeting Muslims, while the White House denies that it is. Trump supporters and Trump argue that it is about protecting the country against various dangers.
Regardless of how you feel about the Trump executive orders, the one consistent issue is that Donald Trump’s own words is the consistent problem for the administration that has dogged him since he took office.
It is his mouth that continues to get him in trouble.
And, it is his mouth that will ultimately be his undoing.
The thing about Donald Trump is that he has no intellectual ability to understand the ramifications of his actions and the office that he has assumed. Trump, as he has always done, relies on bravado, lies and intimidation to get his way.
That is dangerous for the country and the world.
I realize that there are many Trump supporters that gravitate to Trump’s unfiltered language as a sign of Trump being the savior to the problems they have with government, in general. They applaud Trump’s unfiltered mouth and gravitate to his political rhetoric.
They are blinded by a fleeting sense that Trump is the answer to their problems.
Unfortunately, not only is Donald Trump not their answer to their problems, but Trump is the single most dangerous thing the world faces today.
There is glimmer of hope in Trump’s inability to act like an adult. His mouth is leading him towards the point of ending his political career before he can lead us to a point where the country cannot come back from.
I hope that Donald Trump continues to run his mouth unfiltered by handlers because his mouth will finally shine the light on the truth. The truth that Donald Trump should never have been elected.
Good thing it’s not 1942. The courts probably would strike down a travel ban on Japan and Germany.
Only if it was done by a Republican, Jerry K.
