Yesterday I wrote about Bob Moore’s attempt to create the illusion that Woody Hunt is not the real culprit behind the flag issue. Today, in an extremely rare Sunday edition of my blog I want to point out the idiocy of another useful idiot – Max Powers.
A while back ago I exposed Max Powers as an outlet of the Forma Group being used to create political undercurrent for opponents to Forma’s clients. The Max Powers character has been trying since that moment to argue that they are not an outlet for Forma Group’s political rhetoric for their clients. Fortunately, for me, useful idiots make it too easy for me to expose them for the idiots that they are.
Back when the flag debacle was first brought to the attention of the community, Woody Hunt ordered his minions to silence the controversy. I have conclusively documented the close connections between the Forma Group and Woody Hunt, not the least of which is the fact that Hunt has given money to political candidates with the clear understanding that they could only use the money with the Forma Group.
Therefore, there is no doubt that Woody Hunt says, “jump” and the Forma Group collectively responds, “how high!”
On January 30, 2015, the Max Powers aka the Forma Group published a blog ostensibly as a response to my “chiming-in” on the controversy. Clearly, I had made my point and it was resonating in the community. This heaped unwanted attention upon on Hunt. Therefore, Forma’s blog attempted to create the illusion that using the colors of the flag on the building was a violation of the flag code. The other useful idiot, Patricia Martinez has been pushing the same argument as well.
How an artistic representation of the flag is a violation of the flag code is not only absurd but it clearly shows desperation. But I digress.
On March 17, KFOX TV reported that Hunt Communities is concerned about the flag in that according to Hunt the depiction of the flag seems “to be in conflict with the Federal regulations which guide” the display of the US flag. Again, how a creative depiction of the flag could be in violation of the flag code is beyond me because to accept that as fact would mean every drawing, art exhibit, mural, sculpture or artistic expression of the United States flag would be a violation of the law.
To be clear, the flag code codifies the proper use of the United States flag on an official capacity. Yet, the code does not make it illegal to create art works of the US flag. To so would make every child that draws the US flag as an art project subject to being found guilty of violating the US flag code. As preposterous as that is, the notion that the Canutillo mural violates the flag code is just as absurd. As a matter of fact, Google “US flag murals” and you will get many results showing all sorts of artistic representations of the flag on numerous walls, including schools.
Justin Chapman’s letter on behalf of Hunt, is yet another attempt to deflect from the real culprit of the problem, Woody Hunt. Chapman’s letter offers to allow the colors of the flag, if the school district attains permission from a federal entity allowing the flag. Chapman offers two options – the US Department of Veterans Affairs or an undefined “Protocol Office,” further demonstrating the absurdity of the whole thing. They clearly understand that they have no basis for their argument and therefore they are trying to create “officials” that do not exist.
Should every artist that wants to create an art piece be required to seek permission before doing so? Obviously not but in Woody Hunt’s world it seems he would relish being king.
This brings us back to useful idiot MaxPowers, where this absurd notion first appeared. Forma Group’s primary job is to manufacture illusions for the benefit of Woody Hunt. Along with that comes crisis management. Friday’s editorial by Bob Moore clearly indicates that the flag fiasco has forced Woody Hunt into crisis mode.
As I have written numerous times before, there is pecking order on how the useful idiots are deployed. When the flag debacle first surfaced, the Forma Group, through its blog attempted to distract my arguments with the stupidity of a federal law prohibiting the flag. In other words, the facts were getting in the way and an absurdity needed to be invented to distract the community discussion. Other useful idiots were dispatched in the hopes that the discussion would be ended. It wasn’t and therefore, Bob Moore was tasked to finally end it.
In the process, MaxPowers proves yet again that it is nothing more than Forma’s blog.
Martin,
Have you ever liked a blog in El Paso that wasnt your own? If so please list them. I am truly interested. Thank you.
I like any blog that is not hypocrisy laden or a secret operative for a political faction. I enjoy the writers at El Paso Speak. I also enjoy reading Newsies writers especially Miguel Juárez.
Thanks for reading my blog,
Martín
Martin, I agree with the notion that it is an artistic rendition and as such is unworthy of all the sunshine patriots making it an issue it BEING our flag.
But, while Max (and others) was to bring up (36 U.S.C. 173-178) perhaps they should remember that the next time they pick supplies for their next 4th of July BBQ or their buddy’s car dealership display of the flag…
“The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown
Martin,
First of all, that post is several months old. You must running dry on what to talk about. What happened to your Useful Idiot Scorecard?
Secondly, as you are not a U.S. citizen, you probably are not familar with the U.S. Flag Code (until I brought it up) you did not know what the definition of a “flag” was. You used it way too loosely. Hence my post. I do not know what they do in Mexico with that chicken and worn flag, but we got rules and definitions here. And based on you lack of understanding regarding flag rules and definitions, your “flag” was in violation.
Thirdly, what makes you think Hunt gives a shit about you or me?
Love,
Max
PS. Thanks for reading!
Max=lame. The guy could be Kenyan. It still doesn’t negate your idiocy or your bruised knees. Oh, and let’s ask Hunt how he can like the patriotic green so much, but not like patriotic red, white and blue. http://www.governmentcontractswon.com/department/defense/hunt_building_company_ltd_008001349.asp?yr=11
Martin,
you can’t really play the “I got reaction out of you” card when your going back months to find a post. In fact the opposite has happened – they got a reaction out of you. You are letting them control the battle.
And speaking of idiots… He emerges from his weekend drunken stupor
Aren’t you, by your own definition, a useful idiot?
