Each election cycle, El Paso News publishes the names of the political candidates that the technology company owned by Martín Paredes provides branding and technology services to. Although not required to, we provide this list to our readers for transparency purposes.

Clients of the technology services are advised that the work provided by the technology company is separate and apart from El Paso News and the news coverage the publication chooses to cover. Clients of Cognent have no influence over the reporting published by El Paso News.

El Paso News has an open policy of allowing anyone, including political candidates for office, to submit editorials for publication on El Paso News. We consider all editorials submitted for publication and will generally publish them provided they are not promotional articles designed to promote a product or service and are focused on El Paso, Texas’ public policy and its political scene.
