Join a panel discussion that seeks to unravel the layers of internet inequality that impact Latinx communities in America. The panelists will explore what actions are needed from the FCC and Congress to close the digital divide in rural, urban, and low-income communities on the United States mainland and in Puerto Rico. Without access to broadband, our youngest learners face barriers to quality education, our disabled communities are unable to access life-saving tele-health services, and workers that face job displacement are unable to access skills and training necessary to participate in a changing workforce. Panelists will address how the lack of access to affordable, reliable broadband impacts Latinx communities’ ability to participate in a digital society.

Panel Participants:
• Geoffrey Starks, FCC Commissioner
• John B. King, Jr., Former Secretary of Education
• Gloria Tristani, Former FCC Commissioner
• Jordana Barton, Senior Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas
