I have teamed up with my colleague Diana Martinez to invite articles in celebration of El Paso Pride Month. This year Pride takes an even more important reason amid the new Civil Rights period in support of Black Lives Matter Movement.

In this time at El Paso News, we invited various individuals to submit articles to El Paso News in celebration of the 2020 Pride Month. We asked contributors to answer the following questions: How do we celebrate Pride in the time of Black Lives Matter and COVID-19? and/or How do allies show support in the time of Black Lives Matter and COVID-19?

In addition to our regular El Paso News contributors, this month, we will be featuring history, essays, interviews, photographs, poetry and memories from the LGBTIQ community from yesteryear and today.   We will also be posting upcoming virtual events that you can attend in support of El Paso’s 2020 Pride Month.

If you would like to contribute your writing, memories, remembrances, poetry, and would like to answer the questions above, please e-mail me at: miguel@elpasonews.org. I would like to thank my colleague Diana Martinez for helping me reach out to other individuals in the community.

We are glad you are here.

Thank you,
