Since early April Attorney Susana Prieto Terrazas recorded videos social media and YouTube for on the ground reports of the situation of Mexican maquiladoras. Workers are forced to work by mostly American-owned companies in spite of the National Health Emergency decree which calls for suspension of work due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Many workers have been forced to sign resignation agreements and have only received 50% of their wages.

I was born and raised in a border town. All of those violations by the Mexican government towards their citizens, comes at no surprise to myself and my friends, who grew up in a border town. The problem:is no one ever protests against the Mexican government violation of their citizen’s human rights. The protest is always on why we don’t let the illegals into America. Mexico is a beautiful country. If more protests would be exposed to the whole world about Mexico’s Inhuman practices towards their citizens., we wouldn’t be even discussing the border issues we discuss today. As for myself, I get frustrated hearing how America is always at fault for the illegal problems. Mexico has always gotten a pass, on being the main problem. Instead of being held responsible for the why of the mass exodus of their citizens to America.
