In our continued effort to inform El Paso voters, the El Paso News is compiling a Voters Guide for the March 3 election. Yesterday, I sent 48 candidates a questionnaire asking them to submit their answers by the end of the day on Monday, February 3, 2020. We will use their answers to compile a Voter Guide for March.
In the spirit of transparency, the El Paso News assured the candidates that we will not make any changes to the answers they submit. We will publish their answers in full, without any modifications. On Monday, I will publish the complete list of candidates that we sent the questionnaire to. There were a few candidates that we did not have an email address for.
If a candidate wishes to participate that is not on our list, please send us your answers to the question below.
Those candidates that choose not to respond to our request will also be listed as non-responsive.

In our continued effort to inform El Paso voters for the upcoming elections, the El Paso News (elpasonews.org) is compiling a Voters Guide for the March 3 election. We will publish individual candidate profiles during the lead up to election night. To accomplish this, we are asking you to answer the following questions for the guide.
The general questions are for the Voter Guide. We understand that the questions on taxation may not apply to the office you are seeking as the office may not levy taxes. If so, please indicate that in your answer. However, if you wish to offer your insight on taxation feel free to do so.
The Duranguito issue, also known as the voter approved multi use center or sports arena may not apply directly to the office you seek. However, we ask that all candidates answer the question as we believe it offers voters an insight into the candidate’s philosophy on governance.
The question on immigration likely does not apply to most office seekers, however, as it is part of the national debate, we believe that your answer to the question would provide voters a better understanding of your political position on issues that affect El Pasoans.
Thank you in advance for your participation. We ask that you provide your answers via email by replying to this email no later than end of day February 3, 2020. To be fair to all candidates, we will not make changes to any of the answers you submit. We will publish them in full without making any modifications. We will also publish the names of the candidates that did not respond to our questionnaire by Monday, February 3, 2020.
