Embattled former El Paso deputy city manager now wants to resign as Deltona’s city manager. In an earlier post, I reported that Shang avoided being fired by the Deltona Commissioners because they could not muster the super majority they needed to terminate her, although the majority voted to fire her. Instead, the commissioners approved a “no confidence vote”.
Today, the Deltona commissioners will hold a meeting to discuss the “resignation” of Shang. Shang currently makes over $170,000 as the city manager and her contract requires her to give 60 days notice to resign.
Since becoming Deltona’s city manager, Jane Shang has been involved in several controversies, including having to serve community service.
