One of things that annoys me the most about the immigration issue is that the whole narrative is based on lies. No one, absolutely no one is talking about seriously fixing the immigration debacle. The narrative is full of falsehoods. Nothing proves this more than the fact that the so-called immigrant proponents abandoned the migrant caravan immigrants in Tijuana when it became clear that their political agenda lost traction in the national narrative.

Immigrants are being used as pawns by everyone. That includes the so-called non-governmental and pro-immigrant agencies supposedly advocating for immigrants.

Let’s look at the record to understand this.

Cities like El Paso use the immigrant populations as fodder for the political narrative by proclaiming a pro-immigrant agenda while at the same time jailing them in El Paso jails to fund the government.

Congresswoman Veronica Escobar castigates Donald Trump for his immigration policies while her husband happily cashes a federal check deporting immigrants as a Trump-appointed immigration judge.

The record is clear that the Democrats do not want to solve the immigration debacle because it creates competitors for its labor base. The Republicans, although immigrant friendly in legislation, kowtow to its minority, but loud anti-immigrant base. Republicans have enacted more immigrant-friendly legislation as opposed to the Democrats who have passed draconian laws.

Yet, the national narrative remains that the Republicans are anti-immigrants while the Democrats are for “open borders.”

Donald Trump, on the other hand, is clearly anti-immigrant.

When the latest migrant caravans started forming, the anti-immigrant voices went into overdrive creating the false narratives about who was funding the caravans. It was about scapegoating certain individuals that may or may not have founded the caravans.

What is known is that a non-profit out of Chicago was behind this year’s migrant caravans. The non-profit is Pueblo Sin Fronteras. Now that the media’s attention was died down, Pueblo Sin Fronteras has abandoned the migrants in Tijuana.

Pueblo Sin Fronteras used the migrants as pawns for their political agenda. They used Trump’s anti-immigrant pontifications to argue their vision of immigration reform by using the Central American immigrants as visual aids.

The group lied to the immigrants about their chances of immigrating to America. They discouraged many of them from availing themselves of Mexico’s offer for work and work permits by telling them America was the goal.

For a group of desperate people an opportunity of bettering their lives if they simply walked thousands of miles is hard to resist. Desperate people care little about the realities they may face as long as there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. The migrants have little to know knowledge of the laws about immigration and even less about the geopolitics about immigration.

The Sin Fronteras group took advantage of them by offering illusions of solutions to their problems by putting them at risk. A highly-respected Mexican priest attempted to warn the caravan members about the realities they faced. Alejandro Solalinde has alleged that the Sin Frontera organizers kept him from talking to them about the realities they faced.

Once it became clear that the group could no longer milk the immigrants for media attention, they abandoned them in Tijuana.

Pueblo Sin Frontera has remained somewhat in the background drawing little attention. But their nexus to Cesar Chavez’ farm workers organization and other labor groups is starting to appear. In upcoming posts we will delve deeper into Sin Fronteras and how they are abusing immigrants for their political agendas.
