I’d like to set aside politics for a moment and just wish my American friends a Happy Fourth of July. As much as Donald Trump has antagonized me, my Mexican brethren, at least half of the American voters and most of the rest of the world, there remains a truth, the United States was founded on the notion that a people can look forward instead of backwards.
I believe that the current political climate will right itself soon enough.
Among all the turmoil there are American voters and citizens who still believe in immigrants, like myself. That gives me hope.
Therefore, enjoy your celebrations for the independence of America!
