The argument about Lynch’s involvement is like arguing that a bank security guard is at fault for letting the bank robber into the bank.
Whether Lynch broke the law or acted maliciously is irrelevant to whether Donald Trump committed a crime or whether his actions constitute an ethical problem for the Trump administration.
