Here is the single most important fact that should be remembered about this colossal failure – Donald Trump campaigned on the notion that his business negotiating skills would be sufficient to make the country great again.
Trump promised his electorate that his business acumen would make the country better for them.
These are the unpleasant facts that Trump and apologists wish no one noticed. Trump ran and was elected on the Republican ticket. Both houses of Congress are controlled by the Republicans. And yet, the repeal of ObamaCare failed.
It is beyond me how it is possible that anyone can see the failure to repeal ObamaCare and still believe that Donald Trump deserves their support and their vote.
But the reality remains that the warning signs about Donald Trump were all there during the run-up to the election and yet the electorate still placed him in office. It is possible that the electorate made a mistake. And, there are signs that some Donald Trump supporters are starting to regret their votes.
But the colossal failure that is the repeal of ObamaCare should be sufficient for the Trump electorate to take a moment to consider whether their support of him remains justified.
No one objectively looking at the failure to repeal ObamaCare can honestly and intelligently argue that Donald Trump deserves their continued support.
No one!
