Mexican Immigration and Radical Muslim Terrorism – Part 2 of 2
Do the facts support a US/Mexico Border Threat?
Part 2 of 2

Yesterday I shared with you my analysis of the 9/11 terrorists and showed you that none had entered the United States through the US/Mexico border. However, there are many anti-immigrant proponents that continue to allude that the US/Mexico border is a conduit for radical Islamic terrorists. They fear that terrorists enter the United States and mount an attack through the US/Mexico border. I set out to prove them wrong.

In order to do that, I gathered over 100 court cases involving charges of ISIS/ISIL or al-Qaeda criminal acts that were charged in the United States. From those cases I was able to gather 94 cases that provided me with the immigration status of the charged individual, the city in which they lived, their age and their gender. The results clearly show that the danger from radical Muslim terrorism in the United States does not derive from immigrants. More importantly, my analysis shows that only two terrorists entered the United States from Mexico. One entered the United States from Canada. These are out of 94 cases.

The vast majority of the individuals that have been charged with radical jihadist terrorism are US citizen who were born in the country. Twenty-five percent of the individuals in my data set were foreigners. Seventy-five percent were US citizens by virtue of birth. Further more and more importantly, only four individuals (less than 1%) were undocumented. Twelve percent of those charged are women. Forty-seven percent of those charged are between the ages of 21 and 30 years-old.

Clearly, the danger is not the US-Mexico border as has been suggested numerous times.

The following is the list of individuals that are in the dataset that I analyzed:

  1. The issue is less what has happened as what can happen. If the border is porous, then it is open to terrorist penetration. Today, all you have to do is show up and say you’re a pregnant Guatemalan and they’ll let you in faster than you can say, “Allahu Ahkbar.”

  2. Does it matter where illegal immigrants are coming from? The point is they’re over running our borders, they’re disobeying our laws and have no intention of assimilating to our way of life. How can a country prosper without securing its borders? The more we allow illegal border crossing into our country the more problems we are creating for everyone. Without being proficient in English, succeeding in school, they will always be relegated to minimum wage jobs and complaining about it. What we need is people to obey our laws, our government to enforce our laws…end of subject. As Obama Obama stated last night. you can believe him, we are committed to the rule of law
